Core Maths

Back to Post-16

Qualifications that are discussed under the broad banner of “Core Maths” are new qualifications for those students who achieved at least a grade C (4/5) in their GCSE Maths but aren’t taking A Level Maths. The focus of these courses is on the application of mathematical techniques to every day situations and they are especially valuable as support for those students taking course with a large mathematical component.

All resources produced by the Core Maths Support programme are now available on the Stem Centre website.

Working in partnership with the East Midlands East Mathshub, we shall be promoting a range of Core Maths events over the next academic year. For bespoke support, please contact us to discuss your requirements.
