Post-16 Work Groups

Post-16 Opportunities for 2020/21

This Work Group aims to develop existing A level pedagogy and support development of the requirements of the linear A levels and understand the purpose of the overarching themes in departments. Participants will gain confidence in leadership in departments and in developing others in their department.

This Work Group stands alone from our other A-Level Pedagogy Work Group and you can attend just this one, or attend both.

In some sense it can be seen as a sequel where we will take the ideas further into A-Level mathematics and Further Mathematics.

SUPPORTING CORE MATHS work group 2020-2021

These Work Groups give teachers opportunities, through collaboration and experimentation, to develop improved teaching approaches that support the open-ended problem-solving skills Core Maths students need and share these with departmental colleagues. Participant departments will support the role of Core Maths in promoting contextualised problem-solving and links to teaching in other subject areas.
